Whether it is about the treatment of acute injuries, injuries or lameness, or just to keep the hard-working horse healthy-cooling therapy is a powerful tool.

Cooling the legs of your horse is especially important after a workout or when the horse is injured. By "pulling" (too much of) warmth from the horse's legs, you can help put the bleeding in the tissue and help regenerate the tissue. In addition, cold treatment has an analgesic and anti -inflammatory effect and reduces swelling.

One of the ways to cool the legs off your horse is with the water hose. To be able to work optimally, you have to rinse the horse's legs for at least 20 minutes. In addition to using a large number of water liters, this method can be very impractical especially in the winter.

It is therefore easier to use cooling bandages. The bandages have either a box in which cooling elements can be packed, or the bandages themselves can be placed in the freezer, fridge or water.

There are also cooling clay, coolants and cooling sprays that you can use to cool. They are easy to carry to, for example, the competition or in the trailer, but of course this kind of cooling is not as efficient as bandages that have been in the freezer.
