These gel packs match your horse's eArtik cooling hoof boots, so you can have an extra set in the freezer, or when you want to apply cold/heat therapy.
How to use the eArtik
Put the gel packs in the freezer for at least 2 hours. When you need them, take them out of the freezer and put them in the mesh bags on the inside of the cooling shoes. Then place the eArtiks around the horse's hoof.
It's always a good idea
to ask your vet for advice before applying cooling therapy, heat therapy or a mix of both to your horse.
The standard recommendation is to use the cooling shoes for about 20 minutes and then put them back in the freezer so that they are ready for another use. Consult with your vet about how long you need them for your horse and in your specific situation!
Ideal for both cooling and heat therapy
You can also use eArtik gel packs for heat treatment. Then heat the two gel packs in the microwave for a maximum of 1 minute at 650W. Take them out and use them where needed.
The gel packs can be reused and are non-toxic.
