VetkinTape® 6cm

VetkinTape® kinesiology tape (6cm x 5 m) is an easy-to-use, latex-free and TÜV-certified product. It has been specially developed for veterinary use.

VetkinTape® is used for:

• Activating the blood and lymphatic circulation
• Influencing the fascia and muscles
• Treatment of scars
• In case of tendon injuries and inflammation
• Post-treatment of muscle injuries
• Improvement of muscle function
• Support joint function
• Stable legs or swelling

VetkinTape®  can be used as a primary or adjunctive treatment in horses. It can be used to reduce or control pain, control swelling or edema, increase range of joint motion and muscle function, and maintain a level of functionality and comfort for the horse during the rehabilitation process.

VetkinTape® is specially developed for animal fur and is mainly applied to  as part of and support in a treatment process for horses, but also dogs and even cattle.

In human applications it is advised to remove the hair before taping, with animals it is necessary to tape over the fur. By applying the tape correctly, the fascial structures in the skin are influenced through the hairs. This stimulation has a positive effect on the self-healing capacity, which means that various effects can be achieved.

VetkinTape® has important properties, such as:

• Acrylic, a latex-free adhesive that is heat-activated, hypoallergenic and cruelty-free, and a wave pattern for added comfort
• Adhesion up to five days
• The elasticity of the tape corresponds to the stretchability of the coat
• Easy to apply, durable yet comfortable to wear, thanks to the thickness and soft, breathable quality of elastic cotton
• VetkinTape® rolls are wider than the original kinesiology tapes for the human market and are improved with a stronger and more adhesive acrylic layer (30% more adhesion).
• VetkinTape® is specially designed for use on animals and should therefore only be used for veterinary purposes.
