Pour a little shampoo into a bucket of water. Use the solution to wet the horse's coat - then wash as usual. This dissolves grease and dirt faster, saving you time and water. If mane and tail are stiff and unmanageable, it is advisable to use Digby Balsam and Easy Mane 'n' Tail products.
