Premier Equine Cool and Compression protectors

Premier Equine has created an innovative cooling bandage, activated by cold water. When activated with cold water, the tendon boots provide a cold quilted layer. The adjustable Velcro closures provide compression to further aid recovery.

A practical cooling solution for after a hard workout. Simply place the protectors in cold water for 5-8 minutes and they are ready to use!

The protectors are designed to provide uniform cooling - without restricting movement. They are made from Premier Equine's Air-Tec ventilated mesh material. The air is the element that keeps the protectors cool when activated by water. The outer 3D mesh net provides a constant flow of air to the cold inner material of the protectors, which prolongs the cooling effect.

The advanced material is medical grade and has hypoallergenic and antibacterial properties. The material uses a unique chemistry to achieve rapid water absorption. The advanced formula releases energy over time to create temperatures 6-12° cooler than ambient.

Use

We recommend using the leg protectors for a maximum of 2-4 hours per day. They can be used both on the box and on the pasture. Can be used on both front and back legs.

The legs must be clean before putting on the protectors to avoid irritation.

Always soak the leg protectors for 5-8 minutes BEFORE use. Gently squeeze out the excess water. Under no circumstances should the protectors be used dry.

* Do not soak the leg protectors for too long - a maximum of 30 minutes.

When the leg protectors reach body temperature, you can simply add cold water to reactivate the cooling effect. The protectors can simply remain on ​​(use a water hose). Check the protectors regularly - especially on hot days.

High humidity (90%) reduces the fabric's ability to cool.

Attention

The leg protectors should be used for 5-8 minutes (max. 30 minutes*) in cold water to ensure thorough saturation. It is important that the protectors are kept wet during use.

Sizes

Premier Equine's measurements are often based on the height of the horse.

In addition, the products themselves also have specific dimensions, measured as:
(A)height of the boat
and
(B) the width of the boat, measured at the widest part on the inside of the the boots.
Please note that the boots should preferably have a little overlap.

If you measure the height and circumference of the horse's leg (see picture), you can use those measurements to check whether you have the right size.

Tip:  If you measure a certain size for the front legs, you often choose a size larger for the hind legs (for example M at the front, then L at the back), unless it is a specific front and hind leg model.

Please note: the size chart is only a guide, and your horse may of course have different sizes.

Maintenance

Remove first if necessary. hair and dried dirt with a brush and/or lint roller and then close all Velcro fasteners. The protectors can then be washed in the machine at a maximum of 30° - preferably in a laundrybag.

Use NOT detergent - this may adversely affect the cooling properties.

Dry naturally - not in direct sunlight, close to direct heat sources and do not tumble dry.

After drying, the fabric becomes stiff. Provide softening for next use. Always soak the protectors in cold water for 5-8 minutes (no more than 30 minutes) before use - never use them in a dry state

Store in a dry place in an airtight box or bag for optimal shelf life. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry or iron. Do not freeze or refrigerate.
