  • These hoof pads are made of the same material and have the same properties as the regular Animalintex bandages. The only difference is that these are fixed 'shape cut' so that you can easily use them on the hoof. Ideal for, for example, hoof ulcer or nail tread. But of course you can also use them for heel, knee, or anywhere else on the horse's body.

Animalintex is an antiseptic (antibacterial) compress for effective treatment of open and moist wounds or abscesses and can help reduce inflammation and infection.

The special interior sucks inflammatory fluid away from the wound and promotes healing. The exterior is smooth and dirt-repellent and reduces the risk of infections.

  • Wet & Dry
  • Animalintex can be used both dry and wet and then also cold or warm.

A warm and wet compress is usually used for abscesses, infected wounds and many hoof problems.

Cold, wet compresses are usually used for bruises, sprains or strains, squeaky heels or leg pains, or for sprains or other swellings.

Use them dry on very moist wounds or abscesses or as first aid.

    Hot, wet dressing:
If necessary, cut the dressing to size and place it in a little water that has been boiled but has already cooled down to 38 degrees C. Squeeze out any excess water out. Place the bandage on the diseased area with plastic away from the skin.
Hold the bandage in place with a flex bandage or tape.

    Cold wet bandage :
Can also be used cold. Same process but place it in the freezer for a while before using.

    Dry compound:
Apply directly to affected area and hold in place with flexible bandage or tape.
