This loin rug with CATAGO FIR-Tech PRO technology is ideal for warming up the large muscles in the hindquarters by promoting blood circulation and reducing tension. This is especially beneficial for older, somewhat stiff horses or horses with muscle diseases, but the blanket is also wonderful for all other horses as a warm-up on colder days, or after a heavy training or long transport. Last but not least, it can also be used as pure wellness for your horse.
The lumbar rug has an integrated button with which the active infrared heat can be set to 3 levels to guarantee the most individual possible treatment. The button is located behind the saddle, so that you can also operate the blanket from the saddle.
The ergonomic shape of the blanket ensures that it lies well over the hindquarters for maximum effect. You attach it to the saddle with two large Velcro straps.
The blanket comes in 2 sizes, a Cob, which corresponds to a blanket size of approx. 135/145 cm (back length) and the Full , which corresponds to a 155/165 cm blanket (back length). The battery and charger are of course included.
The CATAGO FIR-Tech Pro lumbar rug, like the other FIR-Tech Pro products, has all the fantastic FIR-Tech benefits. However, the Pro products use a rechargeable battery to quickly generate infrared heat and therefore have a faster and more direct effect.

Recommended Use
- in preparation for training as a 'pre-warm-up': use High (Red) 15-20 minutes
- as muscle and tissue relaxation after exercise: use Medium (Blue) for a maximum of 30 minutes - up to twice a day
- as wellness: choose the setting that your horse likes best, or switch between the different levels, e.g. for Low (Green) in approx. 15 minutes, Medium (Blue) in approx. 10 minutes and/or High (Red) in 5 minutes – up to 2 times a day
- when using the lowest level (Green) you can use the back warmer for up to 40 minutes
Tip: Always keep your horse under supervision while using therapy products and preferably tethered, in a horse-safe and quiet place.
