eArtik Cooling Hoof Boots

These eArtik cooling hoof boots from eQuick have cooling (and heat) gel packs that can cover the pastern and part of the hoof. Perfect for use after heavy use, for injuries to the pastern joint, for an injury or condition in the horse's hoof or for any other need to cool the pastern and / or hooves.

How to use the eArtik

Put the gel packs in the freezer for at least 2 hours. When you need them, take them out of the freezer and put them in the mesh bags on the inside of the cooling shoes. Then place the eArtiks around the horse's hoof. Please note: they are not suitable for driving or on pasture.

It's always a good idea

to ask your vet for advice before applying cooling therapy, heat therapy or a mix of both to your horse.

The standard recommendation is to use the cooling shoes for about 20 minutes, then put them back in the freezer so that they are ready for another use. Consult with your vet about how long you need them for your horse and in your specific situation!

Ideal for both cooling and heat therapy

You can also use eArtik gel packs for heat treatment. Then heat the two gel packs in the microwave for a maximum of 1 minute at 650W. Take them out and use them where needed.

Cold therapy is one of the most effective methods of relieving soft tissue related pain. With cooling therapy you can help your horse with acute injuries, but also help prevent injuries.

Cooling therapy is ideal for the treatment of, for example, swellings, sprains and both tendon and joint injuries.

Cooling therapy can also be part of your daily routine for your hardworking horse. When a horse works hard, the temperature in the horse's legs is raised considerably and especially when using leg protection. Because too much heat is not good for your horse's tendons in particular, cooling therapy can quickly remove this excess heat and promote the recovery of tendons.

Easy to use and easy to wash:

Remove the gel packs from the shoes and wash the hoof boots in the washing machine at 30°C. After washing, let them dry naturally. Close all Velcro straps before washing.

The Gelpacks can be reused and are non-toxic

The eArtik cooling hoof boots are One Size (Full) but can be adjusted in size due to the Velcro closure.
