How does the Massage Pad work?

The Equilibrium Therapy Massage Pad has built-in massage motors that can be set to three different levels - high, medium and low - using the control box. With these different levels you can choose the intensity of the program that suits your horse. Each program has three different types of massage - pulsation, vibration and stroking - which alternate cyclically to ensure that the muscles are worked in different ways.

The Therapy Massage Pad from Equilibrium can be easily integrated into your warm up and cool down routine: the medium setting is ideal for warming up your muscles before training and the low setting can be used to cool down after work. The high setting helps relieve back pain and can be used when your horse needs a more intense massage. Each session lasts 30 minutes and can be manually stopped at any time.

The Massage Pad is suitable for most horses and ponies, however, the XL size is recommended for very large or very wide horses. The XL Pad has a slightly wider fit and therefore has an extra girth.

Equilibrium Therapy Massage Pad comes in a handy carrying case, so that the pad can easily be taken to stables, training, competitions, etc. The pad is easy to clean and can be stored in the carrying case which also provides ample storage space for the battery and charger.

Benefits of massage

Massage therapy has been shown to help reduce back stiffness caused by injuries or long-term chronic conditions such as arthritis. It does this by increasing blood flow to the affected muscles and removing waste build-up.

Sizes

The Equilibrium Standard Massage Pad is available in three different sizes. Choose the size that best suits your horse and remember that larger does not necessarily mean more effective. If necessary, measure the length of the horse's back and compare it with the length of the different pads in order to make the best choice.

A directive can be:

Small: length approx. 60 cm, for ponies and horses with blanket size up to 125 cm

Standard: length approx. 60 cm, for horses with blanket size from 125 cm to 155 cm

X-Large:  length approx. 80 cm and suitable for the larger or broad horse with a blanket size from 155 cm.
