Woof Wear Medical Boot

A unique hoof boot with an excellent fit, designed to keep damaged hooves, bandages and wadding clean and dry. The medical boot is suitable for use in the stable, but also (to a limited extent) on pasture.

The sole has profile soles for extra grip and is made of durable Kevlar. The shoe has an asymmetrical zipper and therefore has a firm fit around the hoof. At the same time, the hoof shoe closes around the pastern, so that dirt does not end up in the shoe itself.

A great help for hoof ulcers, thrush or sole problems.

Tip: We recommend wearing a normal overreach shoe over the boot for extra protection of the Medical Boot. For example, these basic, sturdy neoprene overreach boots.

Available in 10 different sizes, which are based on the width of the hoof. The shoe can be used with or without an iron (however, it may be necessary to choose a larger size if the horse is going to wear the shoe with irons). See the size chart in the photo.

Care

Close all fasteners before washing. Use a non-biological detergent. Machine wash max. 30 ° C. and spin gently. Dry naturally, do not tumble dry. DO NOT store the protectors in a place exposed to strong sunlight.

FAQ

How long can they last?
They normally last 2-3 weeks on pasture and longer when used alone in the box. The greatest danger to the durability of the hoof shoe is if the horse hits itself, steps on it or nibbles on it. We recommend wearing a regular hoof boot over the boot, for extra protection of the medical boot.

Can they be used on horse with and without riders?
Yes you can, you will probably need to go up a size to make room for the iron. The size chart is based on horses without shoes.

How do I buy the right size?
Measure the width and length of the hoof and select the size that best fits the chart . It is important that if the horse is between two sizes, you buy the one that best fits the width. Please note: the boat must be 'on', so measure exactly and buy the right size.

Can you drive it?
No

Can they be used on pasture?
Yes. Of course, the field must be reasonably dry and reasonably flat. We do not recommend using them on very wet and muddy terrain.

How easy are they to put on?
You may have to try a few times the first time , but if you know how to do it, it is very simple. Videos are also available on Youtube.

How long can the horse wear them?
Of course you have to use common sense! The hoof boot is not breathable as it is designed to be waterproof, so we recommend that the "first use" is a maximum of one week.

Is there a warranty?
The boot and/or the zipper can break, for example when the horse stands on its own hoof or kicks it. The warranty is void in such cases.
