However, to work optimally, you must spray the horse's legs with the water hose for at least 20 minutes. In addition, many liters of water would be used, and this method can also be very difficult in winter.

It is therefore easier to use the cooling boots. The boots have an inner pocket in which the cooling elements can be packed. The bag holds the ice packs in place and protects the horse's skin (cool packs should never be used directly on the skin due to the risk of frostbite).

Cooling elements should be placed in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours before use. You can also use the gel packs warm, put them in warm water before use.
