NOVAFON therapy, which has been successful in humans for many decades, can also be used in our horses and of course also in dogs, cats and other animals. The targeted local vibrations reduce pain, relieve tension and normalize movement patterns as a result of box rest or other resting positions, for example due to an injury or illness. Animals often find this mild form of vibration therapy very comfortable and relaxing and you often see them yawning, nibbling or licking during a treatment.
The gentle sound waves that NOVAFON emits stimulate the body's own regeneration mechanisms and relax tense muscles. The vibrations promote blood circulation and stimulate the body's own healing process.
NOVAFON Plus is the most powerful NOVAFON we have, and its 3 intensities make it suitable for both mild pain and pain in the deepest muscle groups. The Plus is therefore ideal for treating horses, with their large, compact muscles.
But you as a rider can also benefit from your new Novafon Plus, as you can also use this form of therapy very well on yourself.
Benefits of local vibration therapy
Compared to massage, local vibration therapy not only treats the muscles from above, but gently penetrates more than 6 cm deep into the tissue. In this way, even deep structures are reached, muscle tone is regulated and blood circulation is stimulated. The muscles are better supplied with oxygen and metabolic processes are stimulated. At the same time, the gentle vibrations locally relieve pain - without the use of medication.
Thanks to the variable intensity from 0.3 - 4.0 mm, depending on the type of device, stimulation can be generated in a very gentle way. Therefore, it can be treated not only on very sensitive body parts, but also on compact muscle groups.

Treatment
We think it is important that you first discuss with your own veterinarian which treatment is best for your horse and its problems.
A NOVAFON treatment should last a total of 10 to 15 minutes and can be repeated daily. Adjust the intensity individually to the horse, as the vibrations are perceived very differently, especially in the head area. Always treat both sides. Always start with the mildest intensity and adjust gradually.
Preferably first treat entire muscle (groups) to stretch and relax them, with caressing or circular movements. The treatment can then be continued with light pressure or small circular movements on the stress points.

Do not use Novafon on:
- open wounds
- acute inflammation and/or swelling
- acute tendon injuries
- bones and/or fractures
- pregnant or young animals
